How to Use Saved Posts in Threads: Complete Guide 2025

Threads is one of the most popular social networks of 2025, which is constantly updating and adding new features for users. The platform launched as a sort of answer to Musk’s takeover of Twitter and turning it into X. Threads allows you to save interesting posts, important information, and useful materials in one click, so you can easily find them at any time. So why not make your Threads experience even more convenient and efficient by using the post-saving feature?

What are saved posts in Threads?

Threads now offers a simple "Save" feature that lets you bookmark your favorite content.

Here's how it works:

• Spotted an interesting post? Just tap "Save"

• Your saved items are private and only visible to you

• Easily collect and organize content like: - Recipes - Articles - Memes - Travel ideas - Inspiration

No more endless scrolling to find that post you loved. Everything is neatly stored in one place, ready when you need it. Quick, easy, and completely personal.

How to save posts in Threads?

If you're on your phone - Open the app, see something interesting and... there are these three dots in the corner, see them? Tap on them, select "Save" - and that's it, done!

By the way, here's another trickw - you can just long-press on a post for a second, and a menu will pop up. Works on both iPhone and Android - no difference!

If you're sitting at your computer - Go to threads.net, see a cool post - hover with your mouse, click on three dots and "Save".

And if you want to look like a pro - use hotkeys: Alt + S on Windows or Option + S on Mac.

You can save absolutely anything your heart desires - texts, photos, videos, even polls. And the best part - you can view all of this later even without internet. The key is to open it online once, and it's yours.

I usually use saved posts as my little treasure chest of ideas. You know, when you want to get inspired or find something useful. You can organize everything however you like - by topics, by mood, however you want.

How to find saved posts in Threads

When you've collected a bunch of stuff there's a logical question: "How do I find it now?"

It's simpler than it seems.

If you use Threads on your phone

Open the app, see that profile icon at the bottom? Tap on it.

Then at the top there's this menu with lines. Click it - and among everything else there's "Saved posts".

One click - and voila! All your saved posts are right there in front of you.

And if you're at your computer - it's even more convenient.

Above the post there's a "For you" menu, click it and you'll immediately see "Saved".

Everything's clear and visible - no extra movements needed. Click - and all your saved posts are right there, from the newest to the oldest.

There are several features worth knowing:

  • Everything is automatically sorted by date - new ones on top, old ones at the bottom

  • If someone deletes their post (well, it happens), it'll disappear from your saved items too. So if something's really important - better take a screenshot.

  • You can change your mind at any time and remove something from saved - just hit "Remove"

  • And the best part - it's all just yours! No one will see your collection of memes about...

And here are a couple of pro tips to know:

  • Once a week, go through your saved items - delete what's no longer relevant. Like spring cleaning, but on your phone.

  • If you see something really important - open it right away. Then you can view it even without internet

  • From time to time, review everything. Sometimes you find gems you've already forgotten about

Smart features of saved posts in Threads

Now, I'm going to tell you about some really useful things in Threads that few people know about! There are several cool functions in saved posts that will make you wonder how you lived without them before.

So, look: when you save something, it automatically appears in your "Saved," and the newest is always on top - super convenient! You know, like in a news feed, but this is your personal collection. And the coolest thing - you can peek in there whenever you want, even if you've already left the app and forgot what you wanted to look at.

And do you know how to remove something from saved? There are two ways (I use both, depending on my mood). You can either open the post itself and click on the three dots - there will be "Remove from saved," or just go to the "Saved" section and delete everything you don't need there. Simple and quick!

Oh, and there's lots more useful stuff! Look what you can do with posts in saved:

  • Of course, remove from saved if you don't need it anymore

  • There's this feature "Not interested" - like "stop showing me these baking recipes, I'm on a diet!"

  • You can turn off notifications from the author if they're too active

  • If someone's annoying - you can block them (though I rarely use this)

  • There's a "Report" button if someone's breaking the rules

  • And my favorite - you can copy the link and send it to friends!

And one more important point (I got caught on this once) - if the author deletes their post or blocks you, the post will disappear from your saved items too. So if you see something super useful - better take a screenshot right away. I always do this now with important recipes and tips. I had this case with that incredible tiramisu recipe... But that's another story!

Integration with Dewey

If you have the Dewey extension for Chrome, you can sync all your saved posts from Threads. Everything works automatically - you just save a post, and it magically appears in your Dewey. This is especially useful when you're saving long discussions - Dewey will automatically save the entire message chain.

  • All bookmarks sync between your devices

  • You can save as much as your heart desires

  • Even if the author deletes their post, it stays in your Dewey

  • You can export all your bookmarks and make backups. No more lost posts!

And that's not all - there are several more important functions to make life easier:

  • Advanced Search - just type in keywords, and Dewey instantly finds the posts you need. Search by author, content, tags, and run and/or operators.

  • Sorting - you can arrange everything however your soul desires: by date added ↑↓, alphabetically (AZ-ZA), or however is convenient for you.

  • Tags and collections - you can create your own categories and distribute posts among them. "Recipes", "Tutorials", "Read Later" - organize however you want.

In short, it's like your personal archivist who remembers and organizes everything you want to save.

Frequently asked questions about saved posts in Threads

"Hey, can others see what I save?" - Don't worry, it's all just yours - nobody will know that you saved that an edgy political meme or some weird recipe. Even the post's author doesn't know that you're saving the post.

"How much can I save?" - For now, there's no limit in Threads.

"Can I create folders?" - Unlike folders in X, all saved posts in Threads are saved in one pile, from newest to oldest.

If you accidentally deleted something from saved, don't panic. Just find that post again and save it. There's no automatic "undo," so think twice before deleting.

If you delete the app and install it again, all your saved items won't go anywhere. They live in your account, like favorite photos in cloud storage.
