Wait, what is BlueSky again?

BlueSky is a decentralized social app. Developed by Jack Dorsey, one of the co-founders of Twitter, it’s being built on a custom-built open-source framework called the AT Protocol, which basically means anybody can see what is being built and how.

BlueSky functions a lot like Twitter in the early days and is in invite-only beta mode at the moment. Because it’s stll so early, it lacks many of the features that Twitter eventually developed such as Spaces, DMs, and Bookmarks.

The app has over 1M downloads and notable users such as U.S. Congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez and organizations like NPR.

Over time, we anticipate BlueSky to continue growing and adding features. Our goal, as always, is to make sure that your content, including posts you save and bookmark, belong to you.
