Hello and welcome to Dewey. Today, we are going to show you how to get started by pulling in all of your bookmarks, regardless of how many you have. If you're on the homepage, you can click "Protect My Bookmarks" or "Login". You'll be asked to log in with your Twitter account, so go ahead and click login and then authorize app. And boom! All of your bookmarks have been successfully imported.

But wait a second, not quite. What happened here was we were using the Twitter API to pull in all of your bookmarks. This sometimes works, and in cases where it doesn't, there could be various reasons. One being, sometimes Twitter's API only allows us to pull in the first hundred or so bookmarks. If you have more than that, and we've had some users with hundreds, thousands, even tens of thousands of bookmarks, then the Twitter API might not work. And that's fine, I'm going to show you another way to pull in all of your bookmarks, regardless of how many you have.

Go ahead and click done and head over to the Chrome Web Store to download our Dewey extension. I'll put a link for it right below this video. Go ahead and click "Add to Chrome", click "Add the Extension" and then once you see it pop up here in the toolbar next to your URL bar, just click it and authorize this as well.

The most out of your Twitter bookmarks login, authorize the app. Wonderful, now it's going to log us back into Dewey. Go to your bookmarks page on Twitter and it should look like this. When you refresh the page, you'll now see the Twitter Dewey "Grab Bookmarks" button up top.

If the Twitter API, when we first made our account, only brought in, let's say the first 90 or 100 bookmarks, but you know for a fact that you have thousands, this will be the trick to do it. So you'll click "Grab Bookmarks" and it'll pull in all of them. This is a new account so I only have 12 bookmarks, but it still works the same.

Now, we can go back into Dewey and you'll see all of your bookmarks are here. They're uncategorized, they're not in any folders, and they don't have any tags. We'll show you how to do that in subsequent videos, but this is the easiest way to get started and bring in all of your bookmarks.

As you dive in you will find that dewey. makes it incredibly simple to create folders, tag, search, share, and export Twitter Bookmarks and full threads.
