In this video, we're going to walk you through how to pull in your TikTok favorites and collections into Dewey.

So the first thing you need to know is that this will only work if you have the latest Dewey Chrome extension installed. If you do not already have that installed, make sure you go to the Chrome Web Store, look for the Dewey extension, and download it from there. If you're confused on how to do this, we have a video for that as well that you can find here in our support.

So we're going to now go into TikTok, and this will work on the desktop version. You can go ahead and favorite videos from TikTok's mobile app, but in order to start the sync from TikTok into Dewey, at least for the first time, you need to do it from the desktop app. At that point, we'll just do it automatically in the background, and you will not have to worry about doing this again. However, you do need to do this for the first time, and I'm going to walk you through how to do that.

Assuming you have your Dewey Chrome extension installed, you're in your Dewey app, and you've logged in so you can see all of your bookmarks. Let's go into TikTok, and I'm going to look for some videos to bookmark. I like Ali Abdel's videos, so I'm going to bookmark this one and click the favorite button. You'll see that it's working because a little pop-up came up that said "Post added to Dewey."

Let's just make sure that it's actually in my account. Okay, let's refresh Dewey and make sure that it came through. It looks like it has indeed come through. You'll be able to tell that it's pulling in from TikTok because you'll see the little icon on the bottom here.

Another thing you'll notice is that in the folders on the sidebar, this folder called "funny" is from TikTok. It's one of my collections that I have. I have recipes and funny, and that is one of them that's coming in here. The other one is recipes.

All you need to do is to just favorite videos the way you normally would. The first time that you sync to Dewey, you'll just go in with the Chrome extension and allow the sync to happen.

Now, back inside of Dewey, you can make sure that the automatic sync is turned on. It's turned on by default, but if you just want to make sure, you go into your settings, go to integrations, and look for "Automatically sync TikTok saved bookmarks." You'll notice this was already enabled. It's enabled by default, but if you want to disable that, you can do that from here.

These are the steps to bring in your TikTok favorites and your collections into Dewey. The first time you do it from the desktop browser, but you don't necessarily have to bookmark or favorite videos from TikTok's desktop website. You can do it from the mobile app. This is just for pulling into Dewey for the first time.

I hope this was helpful.
